By submitting a photo of yourself as part of this call for entries, you accept that said photo be sent to Betaface API, to be analyzed by their facial recognition software.
By submitting a photo of yourself to this call for entries, you accept that your photograph and name may be publicly displayed on the website of the exhibition My 2000-Year-Old Double and on Musée de la civilisation’s social media accounts.
The final selection of “participant-statue matches” for the purposes of the exhibition My 2000-Year-Old Double will be made by Musée de la civilisation, which assumes no obligation to retain all photos submitted by entrants. A maximum of 30 entrants will be chosen in the final selection process.
Entrants chosen in the final selection process will be contacted by phone or email in spring 2017 by a Musée de la civilisation employee for a professional photo session at the studio of François Brunelle.
Each selected entrant accepts that his or her photograph and name may be publicly displayed in the exhibition My 2000-Year-Old Double and on Musée de la civilisation’s website and social media accounts. The entrant agrees to sign an authorization to this effect at the time of the photo shoot.
A travel allowance (amount to be determined) will be paid to the selected entrants to cover part or totality of the costs of travelling to the photo studio in Québec City or Montréal, including potential accommodation expenses if a trip of more than 24 hours is required. Reimbursement will be made upon approval and upon presentation of receipts.
Participation in this call for entries associated with the exhibition My 2000-Year-Old Double is opened to everyone, regardless of their country of residence.
In the event that an entrant chosen in the final selection process is a minor (under the age of 18), the minor’s parent(s) or guardian(s) will be required, prior to the photo shoot, to submit a duly signed authorization permitting him or her to participate in the project.
