Stone has built the world… it’s strong, durable, and robust. It is known by all, stone monuments pass the test of time. They have seen wars, famines and entire generations succeed one another. These same monuments have also seen love stories come alive, new friendships and empires being built. Stone has been the privileged witness of our evolution for millennia… and will be there much longer than all of us.
Famous French author, Antoine De Saint-Exupéry, said that “by laying down a stone, one feels that they contribute to building the world”.
Polycor celebrates the stone work of craftsmen from 2,000 years ago, but also the exceptional talent of photographer François Brunelle, who mixes antiquity and modernity, sculptures and photographs. Polycor is proud to present the exhibition “My 2,000-Year-old Double” at the Musée de la civilisation in Quebec City, and hopes you enjoy your visit!
